Remember THIS POST about my new mpreg!ass!baby? Yep,he's still a nameless ass!baby! *pets poor baby* His parents got into a HUGE fight with me just this morning. My Brian threatened to tear out his new balls and my Justin said he would cut off their wireless connection if their ass!baby would still be just an ass!baby (with no real name) by Sunday evening! *gasps* Pfft!!!Who do they think they are! They should just be happy to belong to ME!!!Hubby has a laptop too and it- YES,it's simply an it,not male, not female,no name,JUST AN IT!!!- has to lead a very lonely life.No-one talks to IT (or yells at it lol) on a regular basis,no-one has EVER used it for pretty graphics and stuff. It doesn't has a wallpaper with two hot guys in it,nor does it have a wireless connection with anyone...*sobs*..That poor thing!!Oops!I think it's really high time to name the ass!baby and since I don't want to carry this burden alone I thought I should finally set up the poll that I was talking about the other day.I got already yelled at by fun_demented for not doing it immediately.*g* let the fandom decide..... These names are suggestions made by some crazy fangirls and one fanboy wannabe. *giggles* Poll #4625 Name the mpreg!ass!baby

When I saw this email, my jaw dropped. I couldn't believe it. One of my lovely friends here gave me a Permanently Insane account with Insane Userpics!!!!!!! *does happy dance*
I was trying to figure out what I could do to give something back to the wonderful fandom, and I decided on two things. If you have any fic prompts you would like post them and I will try to get them back to you ASAP (hopefully with in 2 weeks). And part 2- do you love chocolate? Title: Blush Author: vl_redreignPrompt: Stuffed Notes: It's really hard to write a drabble when your 9 year old niece attaches herself to you like a leech for the better half of the day. Love you, Gracie Bubbles! He’s still asleep. It’s been three hours since we left his mother’s, and four since Deb’s. I have no idea where he put everything that he stuffed in his mouth. My Christmas wish is that it goes to his ass. Speaking of which…I lean over and smack it, and my dick gets hard from both the red flush and his yelp. “Brian, what the fuck?” “It’s been five hours since I fucked you. My dick is lonely.” “Since when did I have to be awake for you to fuck me?” “”You don’t. But it would be nice if you were.”

Cross-posted at femme_asylum.Really really did not like "Coco Before Chanel." Audrey Tautou is gorgeous and I could have looked at her all day, but I found her character's motivations unfathomable, and I had no sense at all where Chanel's great talent and style came from, nor was there any sense of the force in design she would one day become. This was nothing but an overblown romance that somehow reduced everything she did to being about some guy. Nauseating. I HATED it. Beautiful, yes. But blech. I wish someone would make the Chanel film that is in my head. Because this is DEFINITELY not it.

I don't really care about so much about the plots on White Collar. They just keep giving me tasty OT3 stuff and I'm content. I've spent most of the day uploading stuff to the AO3. It allows me to feel productive when I can't write. I have too many goddamn stories, though. angelgazing pointed out that I will never be done uploading because I write faster than I upload. Though possibly this is no longer the case. I don't know. I have been having my usual late autumn/early winter problems getting motivated. Since the archive takes so long to upload, I am also rereading some favorite stories (I don't have to pay as close attention to rereads - I can skim and skip and be interrupted without losing anything, 'cause I've already read them before). I keep getting errors, unfortunately, which is slowing things down even more. Technology is not my friend. I know lots of people are excited by tagging their stories in all sorts of ways, but I am doing what I find useful and that's it. As long as I get the characters/pairing on there, and maybe if it's a casefile or an episode tag, that's about the extent of my interest. Maybe if I upload my HP stuff, I'll split the Remus/Sirius out by era, like I have it in my tags on LJ, but mostly I don't care about the tags. *hides* Also, I wish there were a place in the profile to link to a warnings policy, and that that link could just automatically be included on every story. Because I am just using the "No Primary Warnings Apply" which isn't the same as "no warnings needed" but 99% of my stuff is "no warnings needed" and I'd like to be able to say that somewhere, since it isn't a choice on the warnings field. I guess I could make it a tag, but I never think of it. I wish it were automatic. Hmm... *** This entry at DW: http://musesfool.dreamwidth.org/100505.html. people have commented there.

Then probably take a few minutes intermission and then watch 512 and 513 straight through starting at about 10pm EST. Please join me! :D And if you've never marathoned with me before just an fyi that I don't often get very deep with my comments, but you can feel free to. Or stay on the shallow end with me. Why am I doing this? Ted had run out of Claratyne. The drugstore was closed.
He went to Emmett's despite his stuffed sinus. But Emmett's Persian cat loved laps. Ted's inner ear began itching.
Ted drank to forget. He proved allergic to the preservatives in the wine. His eyelids swelled.
Ted prayed in the bathroom. Tiphini entered, sacrilegiously regurgitating a furball.
'I'm leaving, Emmett. I can't pat pussy anymore'. 'But that's not who you are. You love cats!' 'I made a promise to God. If He never deprives me of effective antihistamines again, I'll never expose myself to known allergens.'
Ted had seen the light.

Happy Thanksgiving to those who are celebrating! Happy Thursday to those who are not. I hope everyone had a lovely day, regardless. My day began with BACON and PIE and ended with FOOTBALL and PIE, and in between there was stuffing and homemade cheese macaroni and turkey that was actually moist and tasty (!!), and more family shenanigans than you could shake a stick at. My brother was in rare form tonight, and basically had the whole table in stitches for most of the meal. Mostly at my expense, but eh, that's not new. and unfortunately, the Giants are capping off the day by sucking like unto a hoover, but I am too full and sleepy to care too much. I am thankful for my family, my friends - including you guys - my health, and my job. Man, a year ago at this time, I was a week away from being laid off. I'm still a little freaked out by how that went, still anxious and lacking in confidence sometimes, but I'm so glad I found a new job quickly, and one that I mostly like, for people and an organization that I like. (I'm also grateful that I have tomorrow off and I don't have to use a day - it's one of our holidays. Mmm...sleeping in...) I'm grateful I have health insurance and can pay my rent and that I have an apartment I love. I'm thankful for fandom, not just because of all the great stories to read and the feeling of having people who get my excitement about various shows and characters, but because of all the great people I've met and become friends with, who've made my life richer and better and more fun all around. *hugs* And also, I am thankful for PIE, and I would share some with you all if I could. *** This entry at DW: http://musesfool.dreamwidth.org/100175.html. people have commented there.

First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to all of the American members! This topic came up during a car ride home with my roommate, so it seems a relevant good wish to make before proposing it haha SO ANYWAY. My roommate and I were talking, and we came to the conclusion that every sex scene that has ever been in QAF was used as some sort of plot device or has been important to a character arc. We tried to stump each other with this theory, but couldn't do it! So I need to bring it to the bigger table. They're all aesthetic, of course, haha, but: do you all agree with this unproven theory? Was there a point to every one? Or was this another thing Cowlip couldn't get consistent? Feel free to point out any that you can't see the bigger picture~ behind or whatever. This holiday weekend I'll need some good entertainment. (AND SPEAKING OF LONG WEEKENDS, if any of the members here are into the RP scene here on IJ, a small group of people and I are trying to put together a group storyline that would take place in real time and because I don't want to openly waste room advertising when it's just a side note here: the information on that is all here, if anyone is interested.)

Suffering for your art.” I snort. “Shut up. I know I shouldn’t complain, and I’ve sold three pieces already, so that’s good. I just wish I was there.” “No worries, mate!” Brian says in a god-awful Australian accent. “I’ll stuff your turkey when you get back.” I laugh. “Maybe I’ll stuff yours too.” He lowers his voice. “Well, there’s something to be thankful for.”

THAT WAS AMAZING. OH YES IT WAS. You can see a couple of things -- one, NOTHING ON THE PLATE IS TOUCHING. Mock me not, I was a picky child. Two, the herb rub is a little visible on the done turkey and definitely visible on the plated turkey. It's delicious -- like a light relish. It does make the skin more moist, though, so you don't get that lovely crackly skin. Three, the fried stuffing was awesome -- I definitely recommend adding walnuts -- but I need a fryer basket, as one of those is visibly mangled. Still ate well. Thee A, well, there's no sauce for the turkey. I didn't think to make gravy and if it had come out dry I would have just put a bit of bbq sauce on it, but it was so moist it totally didn't need any. It just about fell apart in my fingers, very much like properly smoked turkey will. I didn't even bother with cutlery. Because FOOD GOOD. On the other hand, I cooked an eight pound bird and now have seven and a half pounds remaining. I've stripped off what I could -- I'm waiting for it to cool before stripping the rest -- but seriously I'm going to be eating turkey for the rest of my life. Or until R gets back on Sunday. I DECLARE MYSELF KING OF THANKSGIVING.

First, Happy Thanksgiving to all! A couple of new fandom friends don't know the origin of the name of the current celebration in qaf_drabbles , "Gusmas," so I thought I'd explain. Once upon a time, four fangirls wrote a story together, and the unbelievable url_girl illustrated it. (Well, we didn't write it, exactly -- it was divinely inspired, so it might be better said we channeled it.) It was the story of Assbaby!Jesus (Gus for short), and of course, it's his birth we celebrate during the Solstikwanzanukkamas Season, which runs from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day. Be warned if you choose to read this fic; you're sure to end up on the bus to the hot place if you do. Assbaby!Jesus: A Brian/Justin Christmas story

The turkey is in the oven! I have thoroughly violated it. I washed it in cold water, rubbed herb paste under its skin, shoved apples and onions up its arse, laid it out on a rack, and oiled it all over before pushing a probe thermometer into its breast. This is either going to be awesome or totally inedible. If the latter, well, it was art while it lasted, and I have the delivery number of an open-on-Thanksgiving sushi place. On this day, citizens of the United States gather to give thanks for turkey, for the Blues, for the sanity to stay home on Black Friday, and for our foreign neighbours, who peer curiously and a little indulgently at us from across the borders. Today I'm making Tarte aux pommes et beurre de cacahuète à la Chicago, though I'm only calling it that to tease la_rainette, who objected strongly to French and Peanut Butter ever mixing. :D I am still thankful, but I am also thankful for a job I like, a boss I like who likes me, my beloved Bigger On The Inside flat, a gas cooking range, an electric blanket that works, public transit, my family, my family being several states away, and this FIVE DAY WEEKEND OH YEAH. In the way of attempting to cause a Thanksgiving Miracle: violetisblue contacted me yesterday (sorry this post is late, Violet!) about adopting an ITTY BITTY TORTIE KITTY. I'm not financially in the position to adopt a cat right now, plus R's allergic, so I thought I'd put out a call on the cafe. Is there anyone in the Chicago or Northern Indiana area who is looking for a cat? She's two years old, spayed, feline leukemia negative, all her shots, no behavioural problems. Her foster mum says the shelters in their area are full and she can't keep her because her own cat has problems; she's willing to deliver her to someone who's reasonably local to the area. If you're interested, get in touch with her at violetaugustine at gmail.com. Suggestions for no-kill shelters that will take cats from across county lines are also appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving, all!

Tell me a scene that makes you melt. It has to be a scene that causes your heart to skip a beat every single time you watch it.
The scene that makes me melt every time I watch it is the Prom Dance scene. I love how close they are, Brian is leading Justin around the floor, so lovingly and they are sharing one of the most romantic moments; ridiculously romantic-Brian might quip. This scene also breaks my heart. I know what this scene caused (or at least helped provoke) and that kills me. I have a really hard time watching 122 because of the ending, I know that it is so real, and it very easily could be someone I love and care about.
This episode, for me, feels like being pushed off a cliff. It is so sweet with the dance, I am so happy for them and I wish I could be one of them, either of them for just a minute. Then I get shoved off the cliff and I am practically in tears and feel sick to my stomach.

He takes what he wants. But he also gives - and doesn't ask for acknowledgement.
I can learn from him. I can help without saying a word. I don't need to be told I'm brave or clever. That asshole's promise to lay off Brian is enough.
Brian's relief is palpable. He dances with me, uncharacteristically friendly. He can't know it was my doing, but his new warmth and openness say 'Thankyou' to the universe, anyone, me. He picks up my shirt as I almost lose it on the crowded floor. A chivalrous moment - but today, I'm the knight in shining armour.

It's remarkably hard to mash potatoes without a potato masher. I keep flashing back to the Potato Ricer scene in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. "How can you not have a potato ricer? What IS a potato ricer?" "We will just use a fork, like the pilgrims did." Anyway, the turkey is brining (the brine is very green. I worry this is going to be a repeat of the curry-marinated Neon Chicken incident) and the stuffing is chilling in balls, waiting to be fried on the morrow. The oyaki dough is cooling in a tupperware on the counter. R is safely off to play Blues all night and then drive home for Thanksgiving at 3 in the morning. I have Hot Fuzz and To Catch A Thief and The Thomas Crown Affair (the original AND the remake) on DVD. LET THE GIVING OF THANKS AND VIEWING OF COPS AND ROBBERS FLICKS BE FORETOLD. As florahart reminded me, of the many things I am thankful for this year, health insurance is very near the top of the list. If I could, I would put you all on my plan.

R came over tonight. It was a very literary night!
R: So, I'm doing gigs with [That girl who once bought us hamburgers] in Boys Town like, last week and two weeks in December. Sam: Are you becoming a star? R: Yesterday I was walking down Belmont and two guys stopped me and said they loved seeing me play. Sam: You're the toast of the gayborhood. R: You know who loves me? Gay guys and bluesmen. Sam: Catchy title for a book.
[one pizza later]
R: If I had five hundred dollars I would throw a HUGE party. We'd have a DJ. And gumbo. I'd get a soupiere to come in. Sam: A soupiere? R: Like a soup chef. Sam: Seriously? R: It's gumbo, man. I have to take it seriously. Sam: With soupieres. R: Yeah. For bisques and such. Hey, that's a catchy title. You gotta write a book called Bisques And Such.
So apparently I'm writing a book called Bisques And Such.
I suspect lobstermen will be involved.
I'm pretty sure soupiere is not a word for a soup chef. But only pretty sure.
Mini Marathon 11/27/09 at 8pm EST - 101, 102, 512, 513

I've decided I would like to watch the beginning and the end this friday night.
So if anyone would like to join me I'll be watching episodes 101, 102, 512 and 513. I will start around 8pm EST. I hope one or two of you will drop by and join me. It's not going to be very structured or as detailed as I get when I do the full series marathon. Just me taking a look at where everybody is when we first meet them and comparing that to where they are at the end. And no doubt some squeeing.
So if you like, stop on by. I'll probably be there most of the night!!

I can't believe I've only posted like 3 times this month (not including posts in the asylums). I don't think this has ever happened before except for when I first started a journal.
Champ continues to improve. His last test results were so much better and so much closer to the normal range that I cried a little on the way home. Plus, in one week, he gained 13 ounces. So, I've decided to go ahead with my vacation plans (which I sorely need at this point). My sister is planning something special for my 40th and a dear friend is coming into town. After that, we're heading out on a road trip ending in a spa for a couple of days in Vermont. From there, we'll part company and I'll continue on to my sister's for Reason's first birthday. I'll be a few days early, but we're going to celebrate anyway.
I can finally get excited because I found someone to stay with Charger and Champ on top of my sis checking in on them.
I also decided not to cook dinner this year for Thanksgiving. I cheated and bought everything pre-made and I'm so happy about it. I'll have time to do the things I want to do. Happy sigh.
On a fandom note, I want to know something. Tell me a scene that makes you melt. It has to be a scene that causes your heart to skip a beat every single time you watch it. Post about it in your journal...or here in comments. I can't wait to see what you've got for me. :D

Marathon - Friday night
posted on: Wednesday, November 25th 2009 @ 4:28pm
I'm going to be home alone friday night and think I'd like to watch a few episodes.
Anybody want to join me?? I was thinking of doing 101, 102, 512 and 513. I like the idea of doing the beginning and the end back to back. I would probably start at 8pm EST.
:D Please let me know if there is any interest in this.
